PAL Aerospace is responsible for the In Service Support (ISS) ranging from working alongside RCAF personnel performing 1st line to 2nd/3rd line Depot level maintenance not undertaken by Royal Canadian Air Force Squadrons on the CC295 aircraft. PAL’s Depot level work also includes the embodiment of aircraft modifications and the conduct of Special Inspections.

In an effort to expand our current team, PAL Aerospace is currently looking for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (M & E) - Licensed or former RCAF Level A and C technicians for the MRO facility in Winnipeg, MB this summer!
Our Operations:
Our Fixed-Wing Search and Rescue (FWSAR) Aircraft Maintenance team works side by side with the RCAF technicians and crews, maintaining the latest in search and rescue Aircraft technology in the Canadian Air Force on CC295 aircraft.
Responsibilities:
-
MRO work (Maintenance Repair and Overhaul) facility (Winnipeg only);
-
Willing to complete a CC295 course in Winnipeg (~7 weeks) at the MRO. Course starts 17 Aug 26
-
Flexibility to work shiftwork (day or evening if required). Day shifts are planned;
-
Flexibility and movement between MRO and Winnipeg MOB is possible;
-
Be willing to accept and carry out activities to achieve ACA (Level A) and ARA (Level C) Maintenance and Aircraft Release Activities within a limited period;
-
Willing to conduct engine ground runs if trained and authorized;
-
Research of OEM aircraft & component maintenance manuals;
-
Support to continuous improvement of all MRO working practices and support equipment;
-
Support to FWSAR Quality and safety practices;
-
Support and operate Tool Crib as required
-
Assistance with aircraft Ground Support Equipment;
-
Support to aircraft & hangar husbandry;
-
Accurate and timely completion of aircraft maintenance records using RCAF supplied Electronic Records Keeping (DRMIS);
-
Support logistics team with aircraft parts data provision for unserviceable parts return;
-
Support to PAL or RCAF MRP (Mobile Repair Party) or deployment when required;
-
Occasional travel to backfill other MOBs/Wings;
-
Support to identification of operational issues to wider FWSAR team;
-
Support to daily operational briefings as required;
-
Some OT may be expected;
-
Some weekend and extended work hours may be required;
-
Some initial travel to either Comox, Greenwood can be expected;
-
Other general duties as required (may include assembly of GSE, office equipment);
-
If a transfer to 1st line ops at the MOB some on call will be required to support SAR operations.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
-
Required: Must have a Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Course completed or have equivalent experience
-
Required: M2 or E Aircraft Maintenance License or equivalent rating as per the TAM (for example, Level "A" or Level "C" Authorizations);
-
Experience using an Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS);
-
Experience with C295 / CC295 training is considered an asset;
-
Capable of successfully completing the PAL FWSAR on-boarding training (to be provided);
-
Capable of successfully completing the DND DRMIS training (to be provided);
-
Must possess strong interpersonal, organization and communication skills;
-
The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, including deployment with RCAF Squadron when required;
-
Must be flexible to work all shifts and adapt to fluctuations in shift times due to operational and/or unforeseen situations;

Strong troubleshooting skills: and

Capable of successfully obtaining security clearances including:

Level II – Secret clearance
-
ITAR / CCG clearance
