Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Automotive Service Advisor to expand our service department who will deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong automotive knowledge, excellent sales skills, and a passion for the automotive industry.
As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will work closely with both customers and our shop team to ensure a smooth service experience. Your responsibilities will include sourcing and ordering parts from various suppliers, coordinating technician workflows, advising customers on the status of their vehicles, and selling any needed repairs.
Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly.
- Review customers work orders and manage job flows.
- Maintain accurate records of service transactions, including cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with technicians recommend appropriate vehicle repairs.
- Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Monitor parts and supplies to ensure availability for repairs.
- Drive vehicles as needed to relocate between parking lots.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an automotive service advisor role is required.
- Valid G license with a clean driver’s abstract is required.
- Completed Post-Secondary Education at College or University.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships with customers.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, typing skills, and to interact effectively with customers and all team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Licensed Mechanic or Mechanic experience is an asset.
