Duties
- Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring, and organizing ingredients to support chefs and cooks
- Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work stations to uphold hygiene standards
- Support cooking processes by following recipes and instructions under supervision to ensure quality and consistency
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures in compliance with food safety regulations
- Wash dishes efficiently during busy service hours to keep the kitchen running smoothly
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-equipped for service
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace that promotes safety and productivity
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of basic food handling practices and safety procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and enthusiasm
