Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Pharmacy Manager/Licensee to oversee pharmacy operations within a healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive pharmacy knowledge, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. This role involves managing daily pharmacy functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a collaborative environment focused on patient safety and medication management. The Pharmacy Manager/Licensee will play a critical role in coordinating medication services, supervising staff, and maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and regulatory compliance
- Lead and supervise pharmacy staff to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient workflow
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy plans and improve patient outcomes
- Manage medication procurement, storage, and distribution processes to maintain safety and accuracy
- Provide clinical guidance on medication administration, medical terminology, and specialized areas such as pediatrics and acute care
- Implement policies for medication safety, patient education, and infection control procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of pharmacy activities and prepare reports for management review
- Stay current with industry best practices, new medications, and evolving healthcare regulations
- Maintain accurate records of medication usage and inventory management
Experience
- Proven experience in retail pharmacy settings is required
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication management protocols.
- Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to patient care and pharmaceutical practices.
- Experience in compounding is an asset but not mandatory-
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing pharmacy operations.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment focused on patient outcomes.
- Additional Prescribing Authorization, Injection certification
- Prior experience managing a pharmacy license or as a licensed Pharmacy Manager is an asset but not mandatory
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools is preferred
