We are seeking passionate and dedicated level 3 Early Childhood Educators to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones and promoting a love of learning. This role involves designing engaging curriculum in accordance to the Flight framework, managing classroom activities and collaborating with families to ensure each child's success. Experience with various educational approaches including Montessori and preschool methods, is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Must have a good understanding of and be able to follow the Alberta Childcare Licensing regulations as well as Alberta Health & Safety guidelines
- Develop and impliment age-appropriate curriculum focused on childhood development and learning through play
- Provide attentive care and support early intervention initiatives for children with special needs or developmental delays
- Manage a classroom environment to ensure safety, engagement and positive behavior among children
- Utilize communication skills to foster strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Incorporate diverse educational practices to enhance learning experiences
- Support child welfare by creating inclusive, respectful and nuturing classroom settings that slign with childcare standards
- Must be flexible to work with all age groups
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year working directly with children in a daycare or preschool setting
- Demonstrate expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management and behavior management.
- Experience with special education and/or early intervention programs is an asset
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children and colleagues of diverse backgrounds are essential
- Minimum of three references , with at least two of those references that speak to your experience with children (previous supervisor/director/coworker)
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
