Job Summary
We are seeking an organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing tasks efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, ability to work in a team setting and familiarity with electronic medical records would be beneficial. The Medical Receptionist will ensure smooth daily operations at the front desk, assist with patient communication, and support clinical staff and Physicians as needed.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and check-in
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries and relay messages
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records using Accuro.
- Confirm appointments in coordination with clinical staff
- Maintain organized front desk area and ensure all assigned tasks are completed.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Support office operations by performing clerical duties such as data entry, scanning and filing
Requirements
- Medical Office Receptionist experience is highly preferred
- Computer proficiency
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience handling multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and physicians
- Prior office experience in a healthcare setting is highly preferred
