Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Parts Inventory and Procurement Coordinator to manage and optimize our parts inventory. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless supply of parts for our heavy-duty truck and trailer repair shop operations, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and sourcing quality parts efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, procurement experience, and a solid understanding of repair shop environments. Duties
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels using quickbooks online software.
- Coordinate procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating with suppliers
- Monitor demand planning to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking
- Conduct data entry related to inventory transactions, purchase orders, and supplier information
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, dealerships, and suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effective sourcing
- Assist in the evaluation of supplier performance and negotiate terms for better pricing or delivery schedules
- Support warehouse operations by overseeing parts movement, including forklift operation when necessary
- Collaborate with manufacturing or service teams to forecast parts needs based on production schedules or service demands
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including mechanical knowledge for handling parts safely
- Maintain detailed records of procurement activities, inventory audits, and supply chain documentation
- Valid class 5 drivers license is required to pick up and return parts daily.
Skills
- Proven experience in dealership parts departments or manufacturing supply chain management
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in purchasing, sourcing, negotiation, and demand planning processes
- Customer service skills for internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Knowledge of procurement practices within manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with quickbooks online is an asset
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to parts identification and handling
- Ability to operate forklifts safely when required
- Understanding of Peterbilt, Kenworth, PACCAR etc. systems or other specialized truck and trailer equipment is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
