Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Review, verify, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring timely payments.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment status.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor accounts payable obligations and assist with cash flow planning.
Accounting & Financial Support
- Assist the Financial Controller with the monthly accounting cycle.
- Prepare journal entries as required.
- Reconcile general ledger and subledger accounts.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Maintain the warranty payables subledger in collaboration with the Service team.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Process and reconcile employee expense reimbursements.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Cross-train to provide backup support for both Accounts Receivable and Equipment Coordination.
- Maintain administrative tracking records, including company vehicles, employee training, corporate credit cards, and cell phones.
- Coordinate employee training programs such as WHMIS, First Aid, and other required certifications.
- Prepare accurate financial, sales, service, and operational reports for leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of Accounting experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with a professional approach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to quickly learn new software systems.
- Experience with CDK IntelliDealer and/or DocuWare is considered an asset.
