Position: Dishwasher
Reports to: Executive Chef

Position Summary:
As a Dishwasher, you will be a key member of our kitchen team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This role is essential in supporting the overall operations of the kitchen by upholding high standards of hygiene and organization. It requires strong attention to detail, a solid work ethic, and the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Your contribution will help keep the kitchen running smoothly and create a clean, safe environment for both staff and guests.
Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in designated storage areas.
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of kitchen supplies and equipment.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste according to established procedures.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Follow proper sanitation and hygiene protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to support efficient workflow and teamwork.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients, as needed.
- Complete additional cleaning tasks as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a dishwasher or in a similar role preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Basic understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors and kitchen staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
