Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Farm Labourer to join our agricultural team. This role involves hands-on work in re-planting, maintaining, and harvesting crops, as well as supporting various farm operations. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, reliable, and eager to contribute to the success of our farm. This position offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in farming while working in a dynamic outdoor environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with irrigation setup, maintenance, and repair to ensure proper water distribution across fields, irrigation
- Perform re-planting, watering, weeding, topping, hoeing, clear field of wood & stones, and harvesting crops according to seasonal schedules
- Use hand tools and basic mechanical equipment for soil preparation and crop maintenance
- Grading crop as per requirements
- Operate mechanical devices or machinery as needed with proper training
- Conduct routine inspections of farm equipment and infrastructure for safety and functionality
- Assist with heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or harvested product
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- Must have reliable transportation - public transportation is not available
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
- Physical stamina and comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions like: odours, dusty, hot, dirty, all weather conditions
- Mechanical knowledge helpful for troubleshooting equipment issues, but not necessary requirement

- Up to 6 days a week, meeting the crop hours (weather controls work period)
