Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pizza Cook to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious pizzas and other menu items in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills, work in a dynamic food service setting, and contribute to providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Prior food industry experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals passionate about food preparation and service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping ingredients and assembling menu items
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, providing excellent food service
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy hours
Skills
- Experience in serving and food preparation within a restaurant or food service environment
- Knowledge of cooking techniques specific to pizza making and general kitchen operations
- Strong understanding of food handling safety protocols and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting ingredients or equipment as needed
Pay: $18.25-$22.00 per hour
