Bluebird Cleaning Co. is a small Cleaning business located in Vancouver BC. We have been in operation for almost a year, we specialize in Commercial and Residential Cleaning. Due to the growth we have experienced in the past few months we are looking to add some positive hard working people to our team. As owners we work alongside you to help both train and guide you. We are hiring qualified candidates in three roles: each role has a different expectation/schedule. Please read each and when responding please indicate which position you are most interested in.
Commercial Cleaning Part-Time :
We have two Downtown commercial cleaning jobs that operate after hours. Canditate will be comfortable working solo for these after initial training and ideally have access to a car.
We are ideally looking for candidates who would have availability for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. This could turn into full-time work for the right candidate.
Responsibilities: Each location has a different checklist which you will be trained on
Perform general cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the facility for example-Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors-Dust and wipe down surfaces-Empty trash receptacles and replace liners-Clean and sanitize restrooms-Restock supplies as needed-Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines-Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor
The candidate would have to be able to clock in with our app at the required time in the evening/morning. This can be discussed during your interview
Air B&B Cleaning/ Residential:
These take place at different locations between the hours of 10am-4pm (not the working hours but this is the conventional time frame that we have to get in reset, and leave by) This would be a great role for someone who has kids in school or is looking for a scheduled, and relaxing way to incorporate some extra income into their schedule as jobs are booked in advance and take place during conventional working hours. As a team member you would start working guided by one of our team leads but when you are ready to work solo your pay is increased and you will be good to go.

Perform general cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the Air B & B for example:
-Strip beds, gather towels and start and flip laundry-Dust and wipe down surfaces in all living areas-Empty trash receptacles/recycling and replace liners-Clean and sanitize restrooms-Restock supplies as needed: shampoo, shower gel, etc-Reset and stage house for the next guest-Report any maintenance or repair, supplies in need of replenishing to the supervisor
The candidate when working solo will need access to their own vehicle
Casual Flex Work:
The most flexible of our roles, this would be for someone who likes having the opportunity to pick up work but needs flexibility. These would always be team cleans and you would be working with one or more people at all times.

Performing general cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the facility to reach the desired goal of the client; for example:-Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors-Dust and wipe down surfaces-Empty trash receptacles and replace liners-Clean and sanitize restrooms-Restock supplies as needed-Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines-Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor
Qualifications:- Previous experience in cleaning is preferred, and if you have references of photos even better- Ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as being able to work with others.- Strong attention to detail- Good communication skills and a working phone that they can be reached at while they're working- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Must have a car and valid drivers license* you may not have to use it*
Must be able to present a recent criminal record check to work independently (the last 6 months)

Reporting to the shift leader, your core responsibility will be to perform cleaning tasks as requested by our clients while ensuring adherence to safety standards.
