Position Summary
The Production Worker, under the training and direction of the plant manager, will primarily be responsible for feeding the production line using established production procedures, following safety protocols, and adhering to the company’s quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and mixing doughs/batter, dicing, boiling and frying potatoes, preparing mixtures as per recipes, maintaining temperature, making sugar syrups, etc
- Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in the work area
- Working with extruders, steam-jacketed kettles, peelers, fryers, grinders, dicers, etc
- Taking care of the safety and quality of the production cycle
- Reporting issues, wastages, and defects to the supervisor on time
- Performing all tasks as assigned and instructed by the supervisor
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Understand plant safety guidelines and qualify all required safety training
- Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions in English
- Experience in the food industry will be an asset
- Willing to work in a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 55LB (24 Kgs)
- Ability to stand throughout the shift
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb
