Job Summary
The Dietary Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality food services in a Nursing Home facility. This position involves working with kitchen staff to assisit in preparation of nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of residents. The Dietary Attendant is responsible for maintaining food safety standards, cleanliness, and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas.
Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation and food service for residents, ensuring adherence to dietary guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment by following established food safety protocols.
- Monitor food storage practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation processes.
- Provide support during meal service, including setting up dining areas and serving meals.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards in the food industry.
- Experience in meal preparation, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living environment.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents and staff members.

- commercial kitchen / cooking : 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
