Brenta Construction Inc. brings over 30 years of experience as a reliable concrete forming contractor in Metro Vancouver. We specialize in complex projects such as parkades, high-rises, pools, community centers, and commercial buildings, including the supply and installation of tower cranes.
We are looking for an experienced RIGGER to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Check all rigging gear (slings, hooks, chains, etc.) to make sure they’re in good condition before using.
- Securely attach slings, chains, or cables to the load, ensuring it’s safe and balanced for lifting.
- Communicate clearly with other trades and the crane operator using radios or hand signals during lifts.
- Watch the crane while it’s lifting and warn others to stay away from the load area.
- Make sure loads are lifted and moved smoothly without swinging or sudden moves.
- After lifting, inspect rigging gear for any damage and report if repairs or replacements are needed.
- Know the crane’s lifting limits and never lift a load without confirming its weight.
- Always follow site safety procedures for lifting and moving loads.
- After use, take down rigging gear and store it properly.
- Assist with additional duties as required by the project team or site conditions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in rigging or related roles within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with crane operations and safety practices.
- Rigging certification is an asset.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
