Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, along with strong communication and multitasking skills. The Server will play a key role in delivering memorable hospitality while supporting the overall operations of the restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure food safety and sanitation protocols are followed during service and food handling
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to serve multiple tables effectively
- Experience with food industry standards including serving, upselling, and guest services
- Kitchen experience or hospitality background is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
