Pinto Creek Lodge, a 20-unit apartment building in Kincaid, SK is under new ownership and has become WorkStay Lodging (www.workstaylodging.com). The property is undergoing a number of renovations and we are seeking a professional and energetic person to take on the role of Housekeeping Manager. We are looking for someone to start asap. Training and orientation will be provided as well as ongoing support from our team.
We have a unique way in which we run our motels/apartments in that this role does not involve any front desk duties, answering phones, taking payment, etc., instead it is focused on housekeeping, laundry and the overall upkeep of the property in conjunction with a great team that supports the role, and the guests that are on site.
You do not need to be savvy at using computers or speak perfect English, just basic technology knowledge, a good work ethic and enjoyment of physical work (rather than sitting at a desk all day) is all that is required.
While the role is ideally full-time in nature, it may be part-time to start until we determine how busy the motel will be. So ideally someone that can work 20 to 40 hours per week and has some flexibility would be a good fit. Eventually the manager role can continue to be part-time (by choice) or have preference to take all hours to make it 40 hours per week (since this position will be in charge of making the housekeeping schedule).
Pay starts at $23.00/hour with a $50.00/month cell phone allowance and benefits become available when the work is at least 20 hours or more per week. This includes medical, dental, prescription, wellness and a good range of extended coverages (single and family coverage available). We provide annual wage increases based on good performance.
Shifts typically start at 9:00am daily and involve thoroughly cleaning rooms and common areas, processing laundry, checking the exterior for cleanliness and placing supply orders as needed. As the property has 20 one-bedroom apartments there will be an eventual need to hire a second housekeeping attendant who the manager will oversee.
