We are currently seeking an Equipment Operator to join our team.
Job Summary
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a telehandler to support construction and industrial project activities. Duties include material handling, loading and unloading equipment and supplies, supporting trades on site, and ensuring safe operation in accordance with all site and manufacturer guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Compliance: Operating equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and site-specific requirements
- Equipment Operation: Safely operating a telehandler for lifting, moving, and placing materials
- Material Handling: Loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment across site
- Site Support: Assisting trades and site crews with material placement and logistical support
- Inspection & Maintenance: Performing daily equipment inspections and reporting any issues or defects
- Communication: Coordinating with supervisors and site personnel for efficient material movement
- Load Security: Ensuring all loads are properly secured and handled safely
- General Duties: Supporting other site-related tasks as required
Requirements:
- Valid telehandler certification (mandatory)
- Proven experience operating a telehandler in industrial or construction environments
- Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and load handling procedures
- Ability to work in remote and industrial job site environments
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Assets:
- Experience in mining, forestry, or heavy industrial construction environments
- Additional heavy equipment certifications
- Bilingualism (English/French)

Hours:
10-hour shifts (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Compensation:
$38.93 – $45.00 per hour, based on collective agreement, project requirements, and experience
