About you:
You might have experience in the health industry. You might not. Ultimately, this doesn’t matter to us as much as who you are and what you’ve done. We can teach you the nuances of the healthcare space.
We firmly believe technology and online tools (such as online appointment scheduling and patient messaging) can enhance patient care and streamline the operation of our clinic. Good proficiency with computers and technology is a must, and excellent writing and customer service skills will be highly valued.
Medical experience or related education is not required.
Quick learners and flexible personalities will thrive in our environment!
General Responsibilities:
- Coordinating the patient attachment process for individuals seeking a family physician, ensuring timely, accurate, and compassionate service.
- Reviewing, processing, and maintaining patient registration and attachment requests while ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Communicating with prospective and existing patients via phone, email, and secure messaging to facilitate attachment, answer questions, and guide them through clinic processes.
- Collaborating with physicians and clinic teams to support patient panel management, attachment initiatives, and continuity of care.
- Managing administrative workflows related to patient attachment, including appointment scheduling, patient outreach, incoming and outgoing correspondence, document management, and coordination with external healthcare providers when required.
- Monitoring patient attachment queues and contributing to process improvements that enhance access to primary care and operational efficiency.
- Assisting with reporting, tracking metrics, and maintaining accurate records related to patient attachment activities.
- Supporting the leadership team with administrative projects and quality improvement initiatives related to patient access and clinic operations.
- Occasionally assisting with the day-to-day administrative flow of the clinic during periods of high patient volume or operational need.
- Contributing to a culture of teamwork, integrity, patient-centred care, and service excellence.
Details:
This position will be fully remote, however for logistical purposes, we will only be evaluating candidates who live in Ontario.
Scheduling will be dependent on the needs of the organization; beyond that, we strive to work with our individual staff to provide flexibility and autonomy where possible. Typical shifts are Monday - Friday during business hours, fixed at 20 hours per week.
This part-time role will be compensated at $30,000 per annum.
Benefits start after the 3-month probationary period.
