Duties
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to company standards and customer preferences
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately using the POS (Point of Sale) system, and handle cash or card transactions efficiently with Micros POS or similar systems
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the food prep area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods while maintaining quality
- Upsell additional menu items or upgrades to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure freshness and safety of all ingredients
- Assist with restocking supplies, organizing ingredients, and cleaning workstations regularly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and managing sales transactions
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards in a restaurant environment
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with food preparation, serving, or kitchen operations is a plus but not mandatory
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
