About the Role:
Future Nets & Supplies Ltd. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Net Manufacturing & Repair Technician to join our production team. This hands-on role involves manufacturing, assembling, inspecting, and repairing netting products using industrial sewing equipment and hand tools. Training is provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine netting and materials throughout the manufacturing and repair process
- Operate industrial sewing machines, sergers, and other equipment to manufacture and repair nets and related products
- Assemble pieces of netting by matching patterns and dye lots
- Perform detailed stitching, reinforcement, and repairs on new and used netting
- Operate single, double, or multi-needle sewing and serging machines on a production basis
- Conduct quality checks during and after production to ensure specifications are met
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- May perform minor maintenance and basic repairs on sewing machines
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily output goals
Qualifications:
- Ability to operate industrial sewing machines, sergers, and related equipment, or willingness to be trained (asset)
- Previous experience in sewing, textiles, net manufacturing, or production work is an asset but not required
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Comfortable working in a physically active, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Forklift experience considered an asset
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite
