Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various skills including commercial driving .Candidates with experience in pallet jack operation, freight handling, encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to assigned destinations
- Load and unload freight using pallet Jacks or other heavy equipment as needed
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to maintain safety standards
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries and vehicle logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Warehouse duties such as filling orders, inventory management and freight handling when required
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record suitable for commercial driving
- Experience operating pallet jacks, or freight handling preferred, willing to train
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
- Prior experience in logistics, freight transportation, or related fields is advantageous but not required
