As the first point of contact at BURNCO’s Calgary corporate office, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. You will provide front-line reception services while also delivering vital administrative support.
What you will be doing
- Provide administrative support to management and team members as required, including assistance with reporting, presentation and meeting preparation
- Welcome and assist visitors while managing the corporate office reception and main phone line
- Monitor, track, and manage office supplies to ensure smooth daily operations
- Manage requisitions and coordinate corporate purchases as needed
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate meetings, events, and cross-office initiatives with BURNCO locations, including arranging catering, preparing name badges, signage, meeting materials, and other event-related resources
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, courier services, and related office logistics
- Offer administrative assistance to support day-to-day needs
- Take on additional responsibilities and projects as required
What we would like from you
- 1–3 years of proven experience managing day-to-day administrative and reception duties
- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in business, administration, or related field preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) at an intermediate level, along with strong working knowledge of general computer applications
- Ability and willingness to provide satisfactory background checks
- Positive, welcoming, and professional demeanor with a strong customer service orientation
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Demonstrated discretion and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Highly organized, with strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and adaptable with proven problem-solving abilities
- Consistently able to represent the company with professionalism, and a friendly, welcoming presence
Location and other key details:
- This is a full-time permanent on-site position based out of our Calgary Corporate Office
- The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
