Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Monthly Bell Testing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with experienced technicians to perform monthly bell tests on fire alarm systems.
This position offers a predictable, part-time work schedule – offering 8 hours of work/day for up to 14 business days each month. Our monthly tests take place on the same days of the week each month and are scheduled in advance. Workdays are 8am-4:30pm.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist fire alarm technicians on monthly bell testing routes. Entails testing up to 30+ buildings in a day.
- Calling the appropriate monitoring company to put fire alarm systems on test & ensure signals are received properly.
- Ringing bells to ensure fire alarm systems operate properly. Fill out required paperwork for compliance & record-keeping purposes.
- Arranging and preparing keys for building entry or calling appropriate site contacts. Professional attitude and customer service skills are a must.
- Responsible for meeting customer expectations and needs at monthly locations. Performing tests according to detailed records and historical notes.
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
- Physically fit and able to be on your feet for 7-8 hours per day.
- Must be able to multi-task and work quickly to complete tests & routes within the allocated time.
- Learn and retain the knowledge of provincial building & fire codes for testing purposes and reporting deficiencies.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and routine details.
- Ability to present information through the spoken or written form, interpret complex information.
- Ability to lift equipment and tools
- Class 5 drivers license (preferred).
What We Can Offer:
- Predictable monthly work schedule of up to 14 working days (8am-4:30pm) each month. Schedule can fluctuate based on Stat holiday conflicts.
- Ideal dates are: 1st Monday-Friday, 2nd Monday-Friday, and 3rd Monday-Thursday each month. If less dates are preferred, we are willing to accommodate for the right candidate.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
