Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Janitorial Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across our facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality service.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper as needed
- Conduct periodic deep cleaning tasks including window washing and floor polishing
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition and report any repairs needed
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities
- Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks when required to ensure the proper functioning of the premises
Qualifications
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality
- Good time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and moving supplies or equipment
