Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, dishes, and cooking utensils to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of our restaurant or hospitality establishment. This role is essential in supporting food service operations and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and dry dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods
- Ensure all dishware and kitchen tools are properly stored after cleaning
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and floors
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including handling food items safely and hygienically
- Support the kitchen staff in organizing supplies and maintaining an efficient workflow
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and cleaning agents as necessary
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, food handling safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude
- Experience with food service or hotel operations is a plus but not mandatory
