Job Overview:
Gunther Construction has been in the construction industry for over 50 years. We specialize in foundations and concrete projects. Currently, we are looking for a Industrial Electrical QC Inspector.
Job Scope:
- Perform regular electrical inspections and surveillance of electrical activities completed by subcontractors to ensure all site requirements are met
- Develop Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) that explain inspection and testing procedures
- Maintain electrical paperwork
- Obtain electrical permits
- Schedule formal electrical inspections with site representatives as required
- Verify grounding rod type and depth
- Test resistance-to-earth for grounding rods
- Inspect and supervise install of underground cables
- Test installed cables
- Inspect duct banks
- Inspect installation of conduit
- Document merging of power, control wire, and cable
- Document high post testing
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Electrical Quality Inspector in the Industrial field (3 years minimum)
- Experience with electrical testing equipment and testing procedures
- Master Electrician certificate is an asset
- Red Seal Electrical certificate is required
- Strong knowledge of Canadian electrical code and safety standards
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Valid driver's license
- Be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60.00-$65.00 per hour
