Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Worker (RCW) to provide exceptional care and support to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings. The RCW will be responsible for assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting a comfortable and respectful environment. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities through personalized care and attentive service. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors, individuals with dementia, or those requiring medication administration and personal assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment
- Dispense medications accurately according to care plans and protocols
- Support residents with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident rooms and common areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Observe and report any changes in residents’ health or behavior to supervising staff promptly
- Support residents with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety
- Follow care plans meticulously while maintaining dignity and respect for each individual
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is highly preferred
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, medication dispensing , and caregiving best practices
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is advantageous
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks effectively
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Certification or training related to caregiving or medication administration is a plus but not mandatory
- Must be reliable, attentive to detail, and committed to providing high-quality resident care
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
