Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fence & Deck Sales Representative with AutoCAD experience to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing expert guidance on fence and deck solutions, and utilizing CAD tools to create accurate designs. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, construction knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their fencing and decking needs through outside and inside sales channels
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide detailed sketches using AutoCAD to visualize custom designs
- Manage customer accounts, including POS transactions, cash handling, and order processing
- Upsell additional products and services by highlighting features, benefits, and renovation opportunities
- Negotiate pricing and terms to close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Assist in merchandising displays and marketing efforts to attract new clients
- Coordinate with the installation team to ensure project specifications are met accurately
- Maintain organized records of customer interactions, sales activities, and project details
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or inside sales within the construction or renovation industry
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating detailed design sketches
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of construction processes, renovation projects, and product demos related to fencing and decking
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, account management, and merchandising techniques
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on high-end sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for measurements, pricing calculations, and project estimations
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Customer service orientation with the ability to build long-term client relationships
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Valid Ontario driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Comfortable working both in the office and at customer locations.
