Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced AZ Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in operating both straight trucks and articulated vehicles, adhering to road safety regulations, and ensuring excellent customer service while delivering or picking up cargo.
Duties
- Safely operate an AZ licensed vehicle (tractor-trailer, straight truck, or other designated vehicles) across regional or long-haul routes.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to clients, maintaining accuracy in all deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Maintain accurate records of driving hours, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers as needed.
- Ensure that all delivery paperwork, including bills of lading, manifests, and logs, are completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo, as necessary.
- Comply with traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents promptly.
- Engages SLG Site Supervisor (if appropriate) to discuss all facets of the project and schedule
- Provides support and direction on resources and materials
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity.
Essential Qualifications
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for cargo handling.
- Ability to navigate using maps or GPS systems.
- Strong communication skills and customer service-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and follow schedules.
- Physical ability to load/unload cargo as required (if applicable).
- Ability to pass pre-employment skills testing.
- Must maintain a valid commercial driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, when needed.
Education and Experience
- OSSD or equivalent
- Valid AZ Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating AZ trucks (long-haul or local routes).
- Previous experience with freight hauling considered an asset
- Experience in both manual and automatic transmission considered an asset

- Travel to various sites will be required
- Outdoor environments in various weather conditions.
- Hours of work: Monday to Friday beginning at 5:30 am, with a maximum shift length of up to 14 hours in accordance with applicable Hours of Service Regulations.
