Position Summary: The Indoor Maintenance Technician will perform routine and preventative maintenance repairs to all indoor buildings on the Resort. They will be responsible for attending all guest room repairs and maintenance requirements while also overseeing the premises and equipment within the buildings.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Complete thorough property walk-through and maintenance checks

Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on appliances and other items

Perform maintenance to all guest areas such as repairing furniture, unclogging drains, changing light bulbs, replacing broken items, painting, caulking of tubs and showers, repair and replacement of bathroom fixtures.

Maintain the utmost quality of workmanship in new construction and renovation projects.

Clean up of materials and debris during and after a project.

Coordinate and meet with our 3rd party vendors at our resorts (meeting with electricians, plumbers, and other technicians to let them in and walk them through work to be done).

Maintain organization of supplies and operating equipment in storage such as tools, extra furniture/lamps, space heaters, fans etc.

Communicate and coordinate with Housekeeping and Front Desk to ensure efficient maintenance and repair of items related to guest rooms and public areas are updated.

Respond to special guest requests with a sense of urgency in a friendly and efficient manner.

Promote and direct guests towards our environmental program and department specific initiatives in working towards sustainable operations.

Guest-centric health & safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
-
2 years minimum Maintenance experience in a hotel setting or related industry is required, with resort experience a strong asset

Must hold a current valid driver’s license, clear drivers abstract required annually

Basic working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting or other general repair skills in order to trouble shoot and carry out minor repairs

Must be comfortable working independently

Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools

Ability to learn a wide variety of equipment and skills quickly

Ability to complete minor equipment repairs

Ability to operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner

Willing to and able to work indoors, outdoors and at heights in all weather conditions and able to lift up to 75 pounds

Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
