Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Estimator and Office Manager to join our team. This dual-role position combines the responsibilities of managing construction project estimates with overseeing office operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in construction estimating, project management, negotiation, and office administration. Experience with tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is preferred. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of diverse construction projects while ensuring smooth office functionality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive construction estimates using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to develop competitive pricing strategies.
- Manage bid proposals, review project specifications, and ensure all estimates meet client requirements and company standards.
- Oversee daily office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and document management.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to optimize project costs.
- Coordinate project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and project documentation for future reference.
- Support project management teams in tracking project progress and resolving issues as they arise.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating, with proficiency in HeavyBid or similar estimating software.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and clients.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam for digital document review and markup.
- Demonstrated ability in project management within a construction environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, team members, and vendors.
- Prior experience in office management or administrative roles within the construction industry is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
