Description
This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager and is responsible for building elevator components.
Responsibilities
- Represent Delta’s core values of Integrity, Service and Quality in relationships with both internal staff members and external customers and suppliers.
- Follow Delta Elevator policies and procedures, Employee Manual, and Health & Safety Manual Guidelines
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Operate the Saw, Tap, Stud welder, Drill-Mill, and other similar equipment
- Verify the parts to their drawings using measurement devices
- Deburr, sand, or prepare surfaces for other operations
- Move parts to next station
- Do regular maintenance on machine
- Assist other areas with tasks like lifting, moving items, etc.
- Operate material handling equipment including forklift, crane and pump cart.
- Keep area clean and well organized.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes
· Mechanically apt (using hand tools, understanding of wrenches, hardware etc.)
· Physically capable (parts are heavy and need to be lifted and moved frequently)
· Able to attain forklift and crane operator licenses
Skills
· Ability to work as a team player and alone.
· Self- motivated
Ability to perform continuous heavy lifting
