Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time or casual Early Childhood Educator to join our in-home daycare team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves working closely with children, families, and colleagues to support early childhood education standards and promote a positive classroom experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Support children's emotional well-being by encouraging positive interactions and social skills
- Collaborate with families to share progress, address concerns, and support children's developmental needs
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and activities
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of children, including those with disabilities or special needs
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices
Requirements
- Experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Classroom experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and adapt activities accordingly
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with families and team members
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting young children's growth and learning
- Certification or training in early childhood education is required
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
