Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of our facilities and equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring smooth daily operations across all departments. The Maintenance Worker will play a crucial part in supporting a safe and efficient work environment through routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections of buildings, machinery, and equipment to identify issues before they escalate
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal operation of facilities and equipment
- Repair or replace faulty fixtures, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and other mechanical components
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management
- Assist with setup and teardown for special events or facility modifications
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance activities
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe to prevent accidents or hazards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in building maintenance, repair, or related fields preferred
- Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repair techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and implement effective solutions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety protocols
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues
- Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., HVAC certification, electrician license) are a plus but not required
