Job Summary
As an HR Recruiter, you will manage the full-cycle recruitment process while supporting employees and clients throughout their employment journey. This role combines recruitment, employee relations, client management, administrative responsibilities, and business development. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced staffing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Hiring
- Source, screen, interview, and hire candidates for temporary and permanent positions.
- Post job advertisements on Indeed, social media, and other recruitment platforms.
- Conduct phone screenings and coordinate interviews.
- Verify employment eligibility, references, and background checks.
- Prepare offer letters and employment documentation.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new employees.
Employee Relations
- Maintain regular communication with employees regarding attendance, scheduling, and workplace concerns.
- Provide ongoing support to temporary employees and resolve workplace issues promptly.
- Ensure employees understand client expectations, workplace policies, and safety requirements.
- Promote employee engagement and retention.
Client Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Coordinate staffing requests and ensure positions are filled on time.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and staffing needs.
- Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction.
- Resolve service issues professionally and efficiently.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate employee files and HR records.
- Manage recruitment databases and applicant tracking systems.
- Prepare reports and maintain recruitment metrics.
- Ensure compliance with employment standards and company policies.
- Assist with scheduling and other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
- Experience in a staffing agency is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and recruitment software.
- Professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are considered an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, and industrial operations.
- Understanding of warehouse processes, including:
- Shipping and receiving
- Picking and packing
- Inventory control
- Order fulfillment
- Material handling equipment (Reach Truck, Counterbalance, Order Picker, Walkie Rider, and Pallet Jack)
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Experience recruiting warehouse associates, forklift operators, general labourers, and administrative staff.
- Sales or business development experience is considered an asset.
