The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. Position summary
Department / Research Program: Montreal Chest Institute, and Research Institute of the MUHC
We are looking for a full time clinical research coordinator - nurse who can help with recruitment and follow-up of participants for 2-3 clinical research studies. Those projects are randomized trials of Tuberculosis treatment.
The incumbent, under the supervision of the site investigator and study manager, will be helping for the execution of clinical studies at the Montreal Chest Institute and the Montreal Children Hospital (GLEN).
General Duties
- Work in close collaboration with the project team,
- Screen, recruit and randomize participants in Montreal (at GLEN site),
- Complete case report forms,
- Work in collaboration with the personnel of the TB clinic
for the follow-up of participants,
- Follow all aspects of the study protocol,
- Perform other related duties as required.

Education / Experience
Education: Diplome of College Studies (DEC)
Field of Study: Field of Study: DEC – in nursing
Other education considered an asset for this position: DEP or Bachelor’s Degree
Work Experience: 1 year
Professional Membership: Yes: OIIQ or OIIAQ
Required Skills
- This position requires an advanced knowledge of oral French.
- An intermediate knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular contact, as well as processing specific information, with patients who are exclusively proficient in English.
- Self-directed and organized. Able to work both independently and as part of a team,
- Excellent interpersonal skills,
- Flexibility of hours,
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Web applications,
- Previous experience in health care service or clinical research would be an asset,
- Doing blood draws is necessary.
Additional information
Status: Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm
Work Site: Glen Site, 1001 Decarie Blvd. (and 5252 de Maisonneuve West)
- This position requires to work on several sites.
Additional specifications: 1 permanent position and 1 one-year temporary position to cover a maternity leave
