Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver’s license, knowledge of commercial driving regulations, and the ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary. Prior experience with forklift operation, freight handling, and automotive repair is a plus. The Delivery Driver plays a vital role in ensuring our clients receive their orders promptly and in excellent condition.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload freight as needed
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to maintain safety standards
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries and vehicle logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transit
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle to ensure safety and efficiencyQualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving or freight transportation preferred
- Knowledge of equipment handling is advantageous
- Basic automotive repair skills are a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
