Your Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Intensive Care team, housed in the brand-new, state-of-the-art South Health Campus. The South Health Campus philosophy is built on the four pillars of: Wellness (for both patients and staff, complete with an attached YMCA), Patient and Family Centred Care, Collaborative Practice, and Innovation. The Department of Critical Care is aligned with these pillars, and is committed to excellence and leadership in patient and family centred care, education, and research as we strive to achieve the best patient outcomes through an innovative and team-based approach. Under supervision and direction of an RN, or other licensed health care professional, the Nursing Attendant provides direct patient care to assist in the activities of daily living, comfort and safety of the ICU patient and family, and provides indirect services to support the overall provision of care in the ICU. The Nursing Attendant is also a valued member of the code blue team both in and outside of the ICU.

You will assist nurses with the provision of routine care to meet patients' hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs; assist with organized activities or programs; and observe and report on patients' mood, health, and wellbeing. Working under the supervision of a regulated health professional, you will assist in maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, while supporting effective communication with patients and health care professionals.
