Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher / Taper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishing touches to drywall surfaces, creating smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Duties
- Apply joint compound and tape to drywall seams, corners, and joints with precision and efficiency
- Sand and smooth finished surfaces to achieve a flawless appearance suitable for painting or further finishing
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate application of finishes
- Caulk gaps and joints to enhance the durability and aesthetic of drywall installations
- Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed to maintain high-quality standards throughout the project
- Collaborate with carpenters, painters, and other trades to coordinate finishing tasks effectively
- Maintain a clean work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall finishing, taping, or related construction roles
- Strong knowledge of construction painting, caulking, and general carpentry skills
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Handyman experience with tools such as trowels, sanders, knives, and brushes
- Construction experience demonstrating familiarity with building codes and safety procedures
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and working at heights as needed
