Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations on construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing on-site activities, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate multiple teams effectively to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily site operations, ensuring work is completed on schedule and to specifications.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure construction standards are met or exceeded.
- Coordinate trades, and suppliers to maintain smooth workflow.
- Monitor site safety, conduct toolbox meeting talks, and enforce compliance with safety regulations.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to guide construction activities.
- Track progress, manage resources, and report updates to the Project Manager.
- Resolve on-site challenges quickly and effectively to avoid delays.
- Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and equipment usage.
- Proven experience as a similar role in construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using site management tools and basic computer applications.
- Ensure proper documentation of daily activities, change orders, and site reports
- A commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Skills
- Basic understanding of construction processes and safety practices preferred
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work well within a team environment
- Physically fit with the ability to lift objects and perform manual labor
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Prior experience in construction or related fields; willingness to learn is essential
- English speaking is required.
- Proficiency in construction management software including Procore, Bluebeam, Fieldware, and other relevant tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders at all levels
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations
- Knowledge of tiling or flooring is desirable.
- First Aid Certificate desirable
