Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly, attentive, and professional Server to join our front-of-house team. As the face of our restaurant, you will create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest, take orders accurately, and deliver excellent service from start to finish. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has strong communication skills, and takes pride in providing a memorable dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them when needed
- Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations on food and drinks
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system
- Deliver food and drinks to tables in a timely and professional manner
- Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Refill drinks, clear plates, and reset tables between guests
- Process payments accurately, including cash, credit cards, and split checks
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and fellow servers to ensure smooth service
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and side work
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and alcohol service guidelines
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
- Upsell menu items, daily specials, and promotions when appropriate
Skills
- Previous serving or customer service experience preferred (entry-level candidates with a great attitude are welcome)
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure during busy shifts
- Basic math skills for handling payments and splitting checks
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food handler's certification and/or alcohol service certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods and carry trays up to 25 lbs
- Team-oriented attitude and reliable attendance environment, and thrive on providing exceptional service to every guest.
