Job Overview
Full time retail position in beer and wine making. Brewing knowledge an asset. Position includes sales and processing of customer batches of wine and beer.
Most hours will be in Burnside, although training may take place in Cole Harbour as well.
$20/hr starting wage plus commission on store sales.
Duties
- Assist customers in selecting beer and wine making supplies, providing product demonstrations and technical advice as needed
- Conduct sales transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash or card payments efficiently
- Upsell related products and accessories to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising displays, ensure shelves are well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing
- Provide knowledgeable guidance on product usage, brewing techniques, and troubleshooting common issues
- Manage inventory levels, restock products, and assist with stock organization
- Engage with customers via phone or in-person to answer questions, schedule demos, or provide support
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to foster positive customer interactions
- Support store cleanliness and organization to create an inviting shopping environment
- Stay informed about new products, industry trends, and promotional events to effectively communicate value propositions
