We are currently looking for a part-time, casual Delivery Driver to work on Fridays from 1:30pm-7:00pm . Opportunities for additional shifts may be available.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver a wide variety of home health care and pharmacy items to different addresses in the Burlington, Oakville, Waterdown, and surrounding areas using Company-provided delivery vehicles.
Organize daily deliveries based on preferred routes and customer priorities.
Assist customers with product set up and/or placement in their homes when required.
Maintain delivery logs and ensure ongoing communication with pharmacy and home health care staff.
Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate the delivery vehicle in accordance with Company policy.
Collect customer payments.
Accommodate customer delivery needs as required and provide a superior level of customer service.
Participate in maintaining a healthy, safe and inclusive work environment at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license, clean insurance record, and clear criminal record check.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to adapt well to changing priorities.
Creative troubleshooter and problem solver.
Empathetic spirit and must be able to accommodate customers’ needs and circumstances.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, health professionals, and customers.
Knowledge of the Burlington, Oakville, and surrounding areas.
Previous experience as a delivery driver in a pharmacy setting is considered an asset.
Working Conditions:
Driving in all weather conditions.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to sit, stand, drive, and walk for extended periods throughout the day.
Valid driver's license and clean driving & insurance record must be provided to the Company prior to the start of employment.
Must be able to legally work in Canada.
