We are a growing civil construction company specializing in site servicing, excavation, grading, underground utilities, roadworks, and municipal infrastructure projects. We are looking for an experienced Civil Site Foreman to lead crews and help deliver projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Position Summary
The Civil Site Foreman is responsible for supervising field operations on active construction sites in and around Port Hope, Ontario. The successful candidate will coordinate crews, equipment, subcontractors, and daily site activities while maintaining safety, quality, and production targets.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily site operations and field crews
- Read and interpret civil drawings, grades, and specifications
- Plan daily work activities and ensure project timelines are met
- Coordinate equipment, materials, subcontractors, and deliveries
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with OHSA regulations
- Conduct site safety meetings and daily toolbox talks
- Monitor quality control and maintain project standards
- Communicate with project managers, inspectors, engineers, and clients
- Track labour, equipment, and production quantities
- Assist with troubleshooting site issues and resolving conflicts
- Maintain organized daily site reports and documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction
- Previous experience as a Foreman or Lead Hand preferred
- Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, underground services, and road construction
- Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and grading drawings
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence with reliable transportation
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Heavy equipment operating experience is considered an asset

Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 10–12 hour shifts depending on project requirements
Licence/Certification
- Valid Driver’s Licence (required)
- Working at Heights (preferred)
- First Aid/CPR Certification (preferred)
Work Location
In person – Port Hope, Ontario and surrounding areas
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
