Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their project management skills within the construction industry. The successful candidate will support project planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to quality standards. A strong foundation in construction processes, software proficiency, and effective communication are essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and civil drawings to facilitate accurate project execution.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Support project managers in tracking project progress, updating schedules, and preparing reports.
- Cost Control & Budgeting: Track project expenses, labor costs and material costs.
- Monitor project documentation such as contracts, drawings, change orders and meeting notes.
- Participate in site visits to monitor work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to design specifications.
- Assist with change order management and variation analysis to maintain project scope control.
- Support the implementation of construction management best practices, including safety protocols and quality assurance procedures.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and techniques.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and project lifecycle management.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with construction safety standards and quality control procedures is a plus. Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
