The City is seeking Casual Building Service Workers in the Recreation, Culture and Community Services Department to provide coverage for vacation, illness, and other absences. The successful candidates will be responsible for janitorial duties, small repairs, and maintaining various City facilities.
A Building Service Worker Certificate from a recognized institution and at least two years related experience is desired. A valid Emergency First Aid Certificate and a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence are required. RATE OF PAY: Pay Grade 15 - $33.23 - $34.77 per hour (2024 CUPE rates)
HOURS OF WORK: Up to 35 hours per week. (Monday to Sunday - days, afternoons, and evenings.)
Casual employees are paid 12.5% of their regular earnings in lieu of benefits and paid annual vacation.
