The Role
The Customer Service Representative is a problem solver who enjoys balancing people, processes, and data. This role is ideal for someone who can confidently handle customer situations, keep things moving behind the scenes, and dive into spreadsheets to uncover trends and opportunities.
This is a fully in-office role, conveniently located next to the Brentwood SkyTrain station in Burnaby. This role starts early, with shifts beginning at 5:00 AM
What you'll do
- Analyze operational and shipment data to identify trends, problem lanes, and cost impacts
- Create and maintain reports, charts, graphs, and spreadsheets for leadership
- Use Excel functions such as: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Filtering and sorting large datasets
- Support leadership with operational insights and data summaries to help improve performance
- Manage customer communication through phone and email
- Schedule and reschedule shipments while setting clear expectations with customers
- Work closely with carriers and carrier reps to communicate delays, issues, and updates
- Troubleshoot and defuse customer concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Monitor shipments and proactively solve problems before they escalate
- Organize and prioritize multiple moving pieces in a fast-paced environment
What you need to succeed
- 1 to 3 years of logistics experience preferred
- Alternatively, 2 to 3 years in a customer service role with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- Comfortable handling customer phone calls and difficult conversations
- Calm under pressure and skilled at problem-solving
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and connect the dots
- Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-moving environment
The Details
- Location: Full-time onsite in Burnaby. Across the street from Brentwood Skytrain Station
- Hours: 5am start
- Interview Process: Two rounds, including at least one onsite interview.
- Compensation: $50,000-$55,000, plus bonus.
