Job Overview
We are currently seeking skilled and motivated individuals to join our team as Cooks and Assistant Cooks, working across both our Korean grocery and cafeteria operations. This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in food preparation and a strong interest in traditional Korean cuisine. Successful applicants will contribute to the preparation of authentic Korean meals, assist with food packaging and display, and help maintain high standards of hygiene and efficiency in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
Responsibilities
Job Description for Cook
- Ability to make Kimchi
- Prepare and make the ingredients for different types of Korean side dishes (Ban Chan);
- Prepare different types of ingredients and rolls for Kimbap (Korean sushi) for a light dinner menu;
- Clean and inspect the kitchen and food service area.
Job Description for Assistant Cook
- Wash and peel fruits and veggies
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including proportioning, cutting and storing food
- Unpack and store groceries in refrigerators, cupboards and other places reserved for storage
- Sweep and mop floors and perform other duties to assist the cook and kitchen staff
Job Requirements and working conditions
- Educational level: Secondary - General Course (Diploma) or Vocational school diploma / Certificate
- Minimum 7 to 11 months experience in Asian cuisine
- Cookery Certificate or Diploma holder in Asian Cuisine
- Languages: French or English
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.10-$35.00 per hour
