Job Summary
Join our dynamic agricultural team as a Farm Equipment Operator / Farm Mechanic, where your expertise will drive the efficiency and productivity of our farm operations. In this role, you will operate, maintain, and repair a wide variety of farm machinery and equipment, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy farm machinery including tractors, combines, ect.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment using hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery to minimize downtime.
- Conduct inspections of equipment to identify mechanical issues early and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely when moving or installing large equipment components or materials.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and equipment usage for operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in repairing and maintaining farm machinery and equipment.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment effectively.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to equipment adjustments, or material estimations.
- Physically capable of performing heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining safety standards.
- Strong understanding of farm safety protocols and operational procedures.
Preferred qualifications include experience working with farm machinery in diverse agricultural settings, knowledge of crop production techniques, and certifications related to heavy equipment operation or safety standards.
